Why did you become an entrepreneur in the first place?
It’s easy to get lost in the chaos of owning a business, running a business, and managing the people and processes within that business.
In fact, some entrepreneurs unintentionally build businesses that they don’t want to be a part of — the management is so bad and the processes are so inefficient that it’s like pulling teeth to close deals.
This is why it’s so important to consistently revisit the reason that you became an entrepreneur in the first place.
Your why should be your guiding light.
After all, you could go get a 9-5 job and live a perfectly decent life, but for some reason, you chose not to do that. And connecting with that reason is very important.
By reminding yourself of why you started, you can build a more successful and satisfying real estate investing business.
Why Did You Become An Entrepreneur?
Different people become entrepreneurs for different reasons.
Some people just want to make a lot of money, some people are chasing fame, and other people are trying to escape their terrible day-jobs.
But why did you become an entrepreneur?
Really try to answer that question.
In the end, it all comes back to just one simple, magnificently enticing concept: FREEDOM.
The idea that people can’t tell you what to do or when to do it. The idea that you can craft your own future. The idea that you can provide for your family without someone else’s permission. The idea that you get to decide what becomes of your life.
That’s an exciting idea.
And in one way or another, it’s what drives you.
You want your business to provide you with freedom.
The next question you have to ask, then, is what does freedom mean to you?
What is Freedom To You?
Maybe all you care about is making plenty of money without working for “the man”.
Maybe you just want to be a self-made millionaire and that’s what freedom means to you… but that’s probably not the case.
And if it is, you’ll likely find that goal fleeting.
Don’t get me wrong — I have nothing against making a ton of money, avoiding having a boss, and being very successful.
But that’s not the ultimate goal.
More than likely, the ultimate goal is to spend more time doing the things that you love without worrying about finances or public opinions. The ultimate goal is to be a self-made person who can spend their time however they want.
You see, the really valuable resource isn’t money… it’s time.
And as entrepreneurs, we need to be willing to trade our money for time — so that we can grow our businesses faster and focus on things that really matter to us, like family and friends.
With entrepreneurship, there’s a time and a place to work yourself to the bone.
The infancy stage of business is intense and requires a lot of one-on-one attention.
But don’t be afraid to automate, delegate, and create internal processes that allow you to step out of your business while still reaping the financial rewards of what you created.
That is the goal.
Isn’t it?
To build a business that supports you without needing you.
And we believe that Call Porter can help you make that leap — by answering the phone for you, you’ll be able to spend more time growing your business to the point that you can step outside, enjoy your life, and reap the benefit of a business that mostly runs on its own.
We’re not an all-in-one solution… but we are an important piece of the puzzle.
So… why did YOU become an entrepreneur?
